State Emergency Assistance

Webcast Informational Briefing for
Public Officials

Gov. Mitch Daniels and FSSA Secretary Mitch Roob have gathered a team to assist in the coordination of relief to Hoosiers affected by this disaster. As part of the response, the team has included discussions with dozens of state, local, private and volunteer agencies and FEMA to help breakdown the steps that need to be taken to rebuild Indiana's infrastructure, which would include but not be limited to roads, bridges, government buildings, schools, libraries and the repair, replacement, or restoration of disaster-damaged public facilities.

This interactive informational webcast explains what assistance is available for public officials to repair and restore infrastructure. The information briefing gives an overview of the infrastructure funding process through FEMA and emphasizes what expenditures are allowable, necessary documentation, the application process and where to get additional information. The goal of the webcast is to provide public officials an opportunity to get a preview of things to come on the road to collecting disaster recovery dollars for infrastructure damage and hopefully answer any questions that may exist.

The webcast is available at http://www.in.gov/gov/webcast.htm. This webpage also hosts several resource documents to help governments eligible to receive FEMA grant assistancefor debris removal, emergency protective measures, and the repair, replacement, or restoration of disaster-damaged facilities.
