The IACT Annual Awards Program honors communities and individuals for outstanding achievement and accomplishments in municipal government and encourages innovation and leadership in municipal government. The program also provides IACT member communities the opportunity to receive well-deserved recognition from their peers and others.
Awards this year will be presented at the 2008 Annual Conference & Exhibition, October 12-15 in South Bend. Community Achievement Award winners will again be honored with a video presentation during the Annual Awards Luncheon.
A panel of former municipal officials and municipal government experts from the public and private sectors serve as judges for the awards and rate the applications on the given criteria.
Awards are presented for Community Achievement, Civic Service, Municipal Management, Local Government Cooperation, Financial Management and Distinguished Service.
