Town Roundtables

The IACT Town Roundtables, sponsored by Umbaugh and Midwestern Engineers, offer the chance to meet with fellow town officials from your area, enjoy a nice meal, and hear a program about local government issues while having the opportunity to discuss problems and solutions. Roundtables are designed for town council members, clerk treasurers, department heads and any other town official who may benefit from the programming. Spouses are also welcome.
Third Quarter Topic: Getting Down and Dirty with Wastewater
Town government today is complex. Wastewater, a service that most constituents take for granted, is one of the most challenging. This program will focus on giving elected town officials the big picture on wastewater in layman's terms. This roundtable will answer questions such as:
-
What are the different types of treatment facilities and collection systems?
-
What is inflow and infiltration and why is it a problem?
-
Why are there inflow problems even after the town upgrades the wastewater system?
Representatives of Midwestern Engineers will cover these topics and take your questions on this important town issue.

All events begin with registration at 6:00 pm (local time) and dinner at 6:30 pm.
