IACT launched the Green Communities Initiative in 2008 for the collective purposes of:

  • Improving awareness about green options and how to implement them
  • Promoting municipal efforts through a peer recognition/awards program
  • Awarding the most aggressive green programs

Complete Your Survey for a Chance to Become the 2015 Green Community of the Year!

Cities and Towns interested in receiving the Green Community designation and considered for the Green Community of the Year Awards must complete a 51-question survey in the areas of purchasing, operations, measuring success, and sample projects. 

Green Communities and Award winners are recognized at IACT's Annual Conference and Exhibition.
